Job Description:
- We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Operations Supervisor to work on-site at our customers two Quebec locations. As the Operations Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the daily management of our drivers and dispatchers, ensuring efficient delivery of goods to its stores. In this dual role, you will also be responsible to assist and coordinate the recruiting of Class 1 truck drivers for local and regional work. This position requires a blend of recruitment expertise, client relationship management, and industry knowledge to ensure the successful management of talents and the satisfaction of our clients’ needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations Supervision:
– Supervise and coordinate the activities of drivers and transportation staff, ensuring adherence to schedules, routes, and delivery timelines.
– Plan and organize daily transportation activities to meet operational goals and customer demand.
Recruitment
– Develop and execute effective recruitment strategies to attract and hire top talent for transport-related positions, including drivers, dispatchers, logistics coordinators, and other roles.
– Utilize multiple sourcing channels (job boards, social media, networking, etc.) to identify and engage qualified candidates.
– Conduct interviews, assess candidates’ skills and qualifications, and make hiring recommendations to internal stakeholders.
Account Management
– Build and maintain strong relationships with our client, serving as their primary point of contact for staffing needs and recruitment solutions.
– Provide ongoing support and guidance to clients, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and retention.
Safety and Compliance:
– Enforce safety protocols and regulatory compliance within the transportation department, including hours of service, safety protocols and company policies.
– Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure fleet and driver compliance with safety standards.
Reporting and Analysis:
– Monitor attendance and operational metrics and KPIs to track performance, identify trends, and provide regular reports to senior management.
Qualifications:
– Fluent in written and oral French
– Proven experience in transport and people management within our industry.
– Knowledge of regulatory requirements and safety standards applicable to transportation and logistics.
– Goal-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering results and exceeding client expectations.
– Formal training in Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
